Do you know, can you speak Spanish?
It's all right, you know everything else
You tell me things I wasn't interested in
in a short skirt and black leather boots

(B):
Do you have to be so everything?
So perfect and so far away from me?

(C):
I bet you're already taken
Anyway I'm not gonna make it
I'm out of my league again
Seems like I will never learn
I'll let it be, just let it go and
never come to ask you for your hand
No I won't, you will never know
'cause it's something you'd never show

The sea is vast, the sea is stormy
The waves are high, everything shines wet and
you hold the ropes against the wind and
stand strong in the rain and night fall

(B):
Would you protect me from everything
take me under your wing and make me free?

(C) - repeat

(D):
Ich will dein Wunderkind sein
Lass mich bitte rein
Ich will ein Mann aus Stein sein
aber nie mehr allein
Ich warte hier und nur auf dich
und schaue dir ins geschicht
Zeig' mir alles, erzähl' mich doch
Ist dein Herz auch gebrochen?

(E):
Lean your back against the wall and
Let me come close, let me touch you
Let me see you the way the others won't
Let go of thoughts, just be in this moment
Here, now, us, alone

(B):
Opening my eyes kills everything
Did I have to wake up from this dream?

(C) - repeat

This, unlike the majority of my work, was written (and composed) in many phases. I started writing it during a UST111 lecture October 5th 2006, and made the song ready on a lecture October 12th. The song I had in mind while writing this was Rammstein's Reise Reise (which also inspired Wake Up, way back when).

When the first verse had been written some time ago, I learned that she can indeed speak Spanish. I still don't know whether she can speak also German, but it's not unlikely that she can. And I don't know if she has ever thought about that her name means "look" in Spanish.

One more funny thing is, that when I talked to her the other day, she brought up the subject of seeking shelter or protection. I said that during a lecture I wrote a song where seeking protection is mentioned.

Älä käy täällä enää koskaan.
